In 1984, she began writing her first book, Grazie a Te (Thanks to You), which tells the story of her marriage and career from the perspective of a woman who went from an average Italian family to a successful international businesswoman. In 1986, Angela published her second book, Il sorriso e il mistero delle donne (The Smile and the Mystery of Women).

The book explores how women have been suppressed throughout history and how they have worked to create their own culture—a culture that is considered unique to women. In 1988, Angela published her third book, La mia vita a scuola (My Life at School), which contains the personal stories of many of the students attending her classes. This book won a national literary award for teaching excellence in elementary school classrooms in 1989.
